Copywriting applies to everything – not just sales letters – you need to apply the same principles to anything you do: emails. web pages, forum posts, videos like this one, etc.
Headlines/titles are critical. If you get them right, people will get a chance to read what you’ve written. If you don’t, they won’t even see the rest of your words. Simple as that!
Sub headings are also important unless it’s a short sales letter or page. They also make it a lot easier to write things in your letter because you already know what the main topic of that section is. Much the same as I’ve expanded on these points in the video and here.
The main page content backs everything else up. Not everyone will read it in full but even, if they don’t, the extra text adds “proof” that they made the right decision clicking through from your headline or title.
Viewpoint is from the reader’s “What’s in it for me?” Your readers don’t much care for the features list. They want to know what it will do for them.
A call to action is essential. It could be “click here” or “buy now” or “like” or whatever else fits with the rest of your message.
Graphics are optional. They look nice but if you’re graphically challenged, feel free to leave them out!
