In this copywriting tutorial video we’re going to talk about how to inject scarcity into your offer so people will be compelled to make a purchase now instead of “thinking about it.” This is also called adding urgency.

The beauty of writing a sales letter is that they’re designed and tested in a way that you KNOW what the reader is thinking as they go through each step of your funnel. You know that they like the smell of what you’re cooking, but they’re worried that they will have wasted their money and feel stupid.

So in order to combat this, you add a guarantee. You add your credentials. You add social proof and show that other people have bought through your funnel as well.

And in this section, we’re are going to inject scarcity in to your sales letter. There are two ways to do this:

The first way is to add a time constraint and say that the offer you describe in this sales letter is only going to be available for the next 24/48/72 hours. But the problem with this is that after that time frame, you have to close the offer. So if nobody buys it, then you’re going to have a problem.

The other way is to limit the amount of people who can purchase the service. This is a good idea for people who are selling something that they don’t want to OVERSELL in case the market gets saturated.
