Unlike before, a computer was useful by itself. But nowadays, a computer without access to internet seems worthless. It is psychological, actually. There are tons of ways on how to make money online exclusively on the internet.  You can be creative by putting up an online store if you have goods at home that need to be disposed. If it is a service you are promoting, you can simply advertise and join online groups that share the same business or interest. This way you broaden your network. Doing freelance writing and other computer application jobs are the best for me.  Hardly, you question if these online jobs are scam because usually these online jobs are legit.

Whether part-time or full-time, people could not just miss the opportunity to make money from the internet, like make money blogging. It will not hurt at all to follow the trend of being productive wherever you go as long as you have laptop with you and there is internet connection.
