Get ready to party, shark style.

7-Eleven, a popular international convenience store chain, will release an exclusive collection of shark-themed goodies for Discovery Channel’s annual Shark Week. The products are already in stores ahead of shark programming, which runs June 26 through July 3.

Like the Slurpee brand, we recognized that Shark Week has become a really social event,” writes Laura Gordon, 7-Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation, in an email.

There’s a reason Discovery dedicates a whole week to sharks. Viewership and social media conversations skyrocket over the programming. Shark Week 2015 averaged 1.269 million viewers throughout the event, a record.

The themed week happens to lead up to 7-Eleven Day (July 11, no surprise) this year, which also marks Slurpee’s 50th anniversary. The chain has been celebrating all year

This is the 28th Shark Week Discovery Channel has hosted. It’s seven days of non-stop shark action and underwater documentaries about the hunters of the sea. This year, Discovery “will air the most hours of programming in Shark Week history,” says Gordon.
